STEWARDSHIP

The natural grass pastures that feed our cattle are part of our family’s deep ranching history. We protect this land and manage it as lightly as possible.

The natural grass pastures that feed our cattle are part of our family’s deep ranching history. We protect this land and manage it as lightly as possible.

In fact, our cattle are part of a healthy, natural management system and contribute to the sustainability of the land, too. By letting our cattle roam free, rather than penning them, their footprint is widespread and results in less impact in one area. They eat the grasses and legumes they find, and the digested plants and seeds are redistributed through each cow and calf back onto the land, enriching future grass crops. Their hooves trample and aerate the landscape in a way that benefits a wide range of plant species.

We strive to exceed industry standards when it comes to animal care and sustainable food production. In fact, we’ll even boast a little and say that we’re trailblazing new ideas and ways of raising cattle that are helping to advance the industry.
